Every person who steps into the gym dreams of obtaining that great traditional V-shaped chest muscles that command esteem and attention. Many have trained for a few months if not years yet that V-shaped upper body seriously isn't forth coming. Have you ever wondered why? 


Before I demonstrate various ways of doing that glorious 'V,' you must remember that the 'V' shape is also an illusion. When you have a broad, thick back with a robust chest, in conjunction with boulder-like deltoids, your 'V' will arrive commandingly because those qualities can make your waist look small and therefore accentuating the 'V' illusion. 


To truly possess a breathtaking upper body, you have no choice than to exercise your lower body. V-shapes will just be an ugly chest muscles shape if your thighs are like bamboo poles. The excellent full body form is named the X-frame. Exactly like those super heroes, you notice in comic literature. Unless you train thighs, you are passing up on training the most significant muscle mass. When training legs, many other upper body muscles especially the trunk and abs will be engaged. Chin-ups and push-ups (weighted and doing them in a gradual movement) provides you the width or even more commonly called 'wings.' 


Another very clear V-shape illusion originator is your triceps. But most people focus more on biceps than triceps. Why triceps then? Because of your triceps, as the name 'tri' advises, has three 'heads' and each must be handled whenever you exercise them. Also, they are 1/3 bigger than your biceps. By training the triceps efficiently, your top arms will expand larger and faster, offering more berth to your chest muscles and again developing a thin waistline illusion. 


The very best illusion-shapers are the deltoids. The deltoids have 3 heads. However, the majority of the time, I see people only training the front delts. While you develop your delts very well, they'll be circular and boulder-like, plus they make your shoulder enormous and vigorous. Now, close your eyes and also have a mental image of yourself with a broad, thick back, big strong triceps... now, can you notice that 'V'? Add lateral increase, bent-over lat-raisers and upright rows to your program. 


How to have a lovely 'V' if your abs are flabby? Forget the part crunches, and part bends. It can only make your waistline thicker. Embark on a free weight program by merging weight lifting, aerobic exercises and eating appropriately. Your abs will show very quickly. 


To finally stamp your power in the fitness center and at the beach, a vast and powerful gladiator's chest will put you before the pack! Train your chest heavy with cables machines, barbells, and dumbbells. Use incline benches somewhat than the level or declining ones.
